Karnataka
Road Development Corporation (KRDCL) was incorporated
on 21st of July 1999. as a wholly owned Goverment
of Karnataka Company as per the Provisions of the Company's
Act, 1956.

The
Company is responsible to build
road infrastructure projects, which are economically
viable and Strategically
important. The Company is
also responsible for developing and
maintaining and operating Roads, Highway, Bridge
facility or Public facility of similar nature.
The Company also identifies and promotes road
infrastructure projects under BOT. In this endeavor, it
will also facilitate the BOT
enterpreneur to levy and collect
toll service charges.

The
company is professionally managed. The
company, where necessary out sources all
its requirements towards Project
development, Design and Construction Supervision.
Innovative Maintenance management systems are being
built into Construction activities. The company will
raise resources from the market and financial Institutions.
HUDCO has already sanctioned a loan of Rs 380 crores for
Project funding.
